Obesity
Obesity is well known to be a major health concern around the globe, and particularly within the US. It's estimated that 90 million Americans are obese, and 12 million are morbidly obese. While genetics comes into play, life style choices including diet and activity levels also play a critical role. According to a recent study, close to 80 percent of Americans are not meeting the most basic activity level recommendations, and 25 percent are completely inactive. Obesity leads to many health problems including a significant increase in Type II diabetes. To learn about our approach to diabetes, click here.
