InCube Labs CEO Mir Imran has lofty expectations for San Antonio, where he plans to create a new business incubator that is expected to spawn numerous life sciences companies.
If Imran is successful, it could catapult San Antonio into the major leagues of the biosciences industry. However, his game plan is not without risk.
The multimillion-dollar investment deal local leaders have put on the table to entice Imran to create a new InCube Lab in San Antonio is innovative. But Imran concedes he is not yet certain that San Antonio can generate the amount of long-term private-sector support that will be necessary to fund the level of success he hopes to achieve in the Alamo City.
InCube Labs is a Silicon Valley-based life-sciences research entity focused on developing medical breakthroughs that dramatically improve patient outcomes. Its founder, Imran, has established more than 20 companies and holds more than 200 patents.
